libprison0 software package provides barcode API for Qt, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libprison0
libprison0 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libprison0 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libprison0 *
You will get with libprison0 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
